Noosa Botanic Gardens
The Noosa Botanic Gardens are located in the hinterland suburb of Cooroy and offer over 8 hectares on the shores of Lake MacDonald.
The gardens contain an abundance of native and exotic plant species, with the variety of vegetation types supporting over 94 different bird species as well as an abundant range of wildlife.
Within the Noosa Botanic Gardens you will find an open-air bush chapel, a lily pond, a fern house, large lawn areas, a Greek style amphitheatre and shade garden. There’s also a dinosaur dig / children’s sand pit play area for the kids.
The gardens are a good location for a leisurely walk or picnic and can be hired by approval through the Noosa Shire Council for weddings and events. Graded paths throughout the gardens make it accessible for all visitors.
Facilities include drinking water, tables, shelters and toilets including a disabled toilet. While there aren’t any barbecue facilities within the gardens, there are two electric barbecues located next to the boat ramp in the adjoining foreshore park.
Car parking is located at the entry to the gardens off Lake Macdonald Drive.

Noosa National Park
Take in the amazing scenery while you enjoy a walk through the serenity of Noosa National Park. Spanning 2883 hectares incorporating Noosa headland and areas around Peregian, Coolum and Lake Weyba.

Noosa River Pirate Playground
Set alongside the Noosa River, this pirate themed children’s playground offers a variety of slides, climbing structures, platforms and tunnels. As well as a Liberty Swing for wheelchair accessibility.
Facilities include picnic tables, BBQs and toilets. Settle in comfortably for a few hours while the kids let their imaginations soar.

Hinterland Adventure Playground
Built on an old timber mill site, the Hinterland Adventure Playground is an all-abilities, nature based playground designed to inspire learning and encourage interaction with the local environment.
The playground is made up of a variety of play zones ranging from quiet spaces of low activity to highly active adventure play zones. Equipment includes waterplay, flying fox, swings, natural and rock play areas, sand pit, sensory garden, tunnels and open green spaces.
Make a day of it with facilities including picnic areas and barbecue, shaded areas and toilet block.
